Course Offerings
The MetaPrep Math Club for Middle Schoolers is a community aimed at helping middle school students explore the broad realm of mathematics. The classes this club centers around are webinar based and will be made available so that participants who miss any particular class can enjoy them all. Topics will include everything from ideas in Arithmetic up through Geometry, and sometimes even a little beyond!
Content will be aimed at students who
- Want to explore PreCalculus topics in elementary mathematics broadly.
- Students learning problem solving through math competitions such as MATHCOUNTS, the AMC 8, Math Kangaroo, and others.
- Math students who are motivated by community engagement.
Middle school math teachers and coaches are welcome to join us!
The MetaPrep Math Club for Adults is an enjoyable way to explore mathematics within a community. The classes are webinar based and will be made available so that participants who miss class day can enjoy them. These are not classes for high level mathematics professionals. These classes explore the broad range of elementary mathematics, its history, and problem solving. People who might enjoy this Math Club include:
- People who know they can learn more about math (usually most everyone), but never committed to an complete undergraduate education in mathematics and want to learn much of that material now.
- People who enjoyed math team and want to revisit and strengthen their understanding of that material.
- Mathophiles who want to fill out their understanding of math and problem solving with the right dose of historical context.
- Professionals who want to improve their logic and problem solving skills.
